Observability & AIOps Engineer

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for an Observability & AIOps Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Observability Platform Management:
• Architect, deploy, and manage observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or similar).
• Develop monitoring strategies across infrastructure, applications, and microservices to achieve full-stack observability.
• Configure and maintain logs, metrics, and traces to provide actionable insights.

• AIOps Implementation:
• Implement and manage AIOps solutions to detect anomalies, forecast trends, and automate incident responses.
• Integrate AIOps tools with observability platforms and ITSM solutions (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Design self-healing mechanisms and incident automation workflows.

• Incident Management and Resolution:
• Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues using AI-driven analytics.
• Provide root cause analysis and recommendations for system improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and IT teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

• Data Analysis and Insights:
• Use machine learning models and advanced analytics to identify patterns and predict system behaviors.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Collaboration and Enablement:
• Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to define observability and AIOps strategies.
• Train and enable teams to leverage observability and AIOps platforms effectively.

• Tool Integration and Optimization:
• Ensure seamless integration between observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation platforms.
• Optimize system performance and scalability through continuous improvement of monitoring solutions.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, or AIOps roles

• Technical Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, or OpenTelemetry).
• Proficiency in implementing and managing AIOps tools (e.g., Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, or IBM Watson AIOps).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• AIOps and Monitoring Skills:
• Experience with anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and machine learning in IT operations.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and integration workflows (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

• Problem-Solving and Collaboration:
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams to achieve common goals.

• Certifications (preferred):
• Certifications in observability or AIOps tools (e.g., Splunk Architect, Dynatrace Associate).
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
