Octopus by RTG is hiring for a company in the banking sector a skilled Informatica Metadata Developer.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Informatica Metadata Developer to lead enterprise metadata management and governance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in metadata development, with strong expertise in Informatica tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ).

This role requires both technical and governance expertise to ensure data quality, lineage tracking, and metadata standardization across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support domain owners in Critical Data Elements (CDE) prioritization.
• Establish and monitor metadata management standards.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise Data Dictionary.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions on data governance strategies.
• Drive metadata quality and governance processes.
• Review and approve business definitions and data lineage.
• Oversee metadata tool selection and implementation.
• Support the development of metadata standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to document processes and standards.
• Configure and maintain Informatica EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog) and Axon environments.
• Implement technical and business metadata onboarding processes.
• Create and modify IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) workflows.
• Set up data lineage tracking and linkages.
• Configure Axon policies and glossaries to ensure governance alignment.
• Develop metadata governance frameworks and best practices.
• Build automated metadata workflows for process efficiency.
• Implement data quality controls to ensure metadata accuracy.
• Design metadata validation processes and maintain metadata repositories.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience as an Informatica Metadata Developer.
• Expertise in metadata management, data governance, and process implementation.
• Strong experience in EDC/Axon configuration and integration design.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

Good-to-have

• Master’s degree in a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in business or data analysis.
• Project management experience in metadata governance initiatives.
